I've grown old
The years piled on
The facts got clearer
Our rights, solid as foam
Where did it all go so wrong?
Was there ever any way out?
It seems quite clear that we are destined to fail
And reap what we have sown
Dark ages and plagues
Centuries of dismay
Should have taught us
Yet here we are, again
Imbeciles now watch our every move
Claiming either offense or vile crime against their cult
And wish death to all those who choose
To use the squishy stuff that's grown inside their skulls
So many hopes
Now dead and buried
Their unmarked tombs
Forgotten
I denounce nothing
Although I see so much is wrong
Who would trust me?
Oh, if they can't see it for themselves
Why should I risk my neck to save this wreck
And die for nothing?
I hear their cries
The rising pyres β now alight
Consuming all that's deemed impure
To the eyes of sick buffoons
And a leader so asinine
Their merit due
Might lay on you
Time marches, or is it us that stampede hellward?
Merciless, impending doom β dead vistas span the horizon
As fate looms
Symbiont strangers
Ordered apoptosis
Natural cleansing
Shall come some day, I'm afraid
A collective dream astray
A whole culture set to fade
